Russian skiers win Olympic gold in ladies` 4x5 km relay
Russian skiers have won Olympic gold in ladies` 4x5 km relay in Torino.
Natalia Baranova-Masalkina, Larisa Kurkina, Julija Chepalova and Evgenia Medvedeva-Arbuzova are members of glorious team. It should be mentioned that Medvedeva-Arbuzova contributed much to the victory. A bronze Olympic medallist took the baton when Russian team was 4-th.
Russian team passed the distance for 54 minutes and 47.7 seconds.
German sportswomen Stefanie Boehler, Viola Bauer, Evi Sachenbacher Stehle and Claudia Kuenzel were 10 seconds behind the winners.
Third place took Italian team (Arianna Follis, Gabriela Paruzzi, Antonella Confortola, Sabina Valbusa) with lag of 11 seconds.
